[edit] Return to Main Menu

This takes you back to the previous menu, the Main Menu.

[edit] Preference Bitsets

Takes you to the General Game Bitsets editor, where you can set option that affect the whole game.

[edit] Starting X/Y/Map

Allows you to choose where, exactly, the hero will be placed when a new game is started.

Rather than editing these numbers directly, you can go into the map editor and press CTRL+H on the tile where you want the hero to start, and the X/Y/map coordinates will be automatically updated.

[edit] Title Music

Allows you to choose which music will play at the title screen when the game first starts. This music is also used for the load screen.

[edit] Battle Victory Music

Allows you to choose which song will be used as the victory song when a battle is finished.

[edit] Default Battle Music

Allows you to choose which song will be selected by default in the Battle Formation editor

[edit] Special Sound Effects

Takes you to the special sound effects editor where you can choose sound effects that will be played for various events.

[edit] Password for Editing...

Takes you to a screen where you can set a password to edit the RPG.

NOTE: The setting the password does not encrypt your RPG, and it is possible to modify the RPG anyway if you're really determined.

NOTE II: If you forget your password, don't lose hope. Hopefully, you have a backup. If you don't, it is possible for a developer to remove your password. But, they will only do so if they are certain you made the game.

[edit] Pick Title Screen...

Takes you to a screen where you can use the Left and Right arrow keys to select which Backdrop will serve as the title screen. You can import backdrops in the Import Screens menu.

[edit] Starting Money

Allows you to select how much money the party starts out with in a new game.

[edit] Special Plotscripts

Takes you to the Special Plotscripts Editor, where you can set plotscripts to be run automagically at certain events (new game, game over, etc)

[edit] Long Name/About Line

Allows you to set the long title of your game (which shows in the browse menu, and in the title bar of the Windows Game Player), and the about line, which shows up at the bottom of the browse screen.

[edit] View Master Palettes

Takes you to the Master Palette Import Menu where you can choose a new Master Palette file.

Note: All the tilesets, backdrops and palettes of various kinds are not adapted to fit this new master palette. Thus, this option is best used when you haven't imported any graphics.

[edit] Poison/Stun/Mute Indicator

These options set which characters are used for the said Status effects. They default to characters #161, 159 and 163 respectively.

[edit] Stat Cap

These options allow you to set a maximum limit on the repective stats. HP and MP can be up to 9999, MP~ can be up to 100, Hits can be up to 20, and all the rest can be up to 999.

[edit] Enemy Dissolve

Allows you to choose a default enemy dissolve animation. This can be overridden for individual enemies in the Enemy editor.
