The Collaboration Game is a sporadic [[contest]] that springs up whenever the [[User:TwinHamster]] is in the mood.
It consists of multiple entrants passing chunks of information to each other to create multiple chapters for a single game.

=A History of working together=

==The 2006 Collaboration==
The TwinHamster started up the idea that a game divided into chapters and composed by different authors might be an interesting concept, so in the summer of 2006, the first Collaboration Game was created.

The project was ultimately composed of the OHR community members (In order of chapters):

*[[User:TwinHamster]]
*[[User:OnlyOneInAll]]
*[[User:Rimudora]]
*[[User:Surlaw]]
*[[User:Moogle1]]
*[[User:TheDude257]]
*[[User:RedMaverickZero]]

This contest was designed so that contest entrants would create new .RPG files for each of the game's chapters and pass them along to the next entrant to work off of.

Each member was only able to play the previous chapter so that forgotten details could be replaced with random awesomeness.

Obviously waiting for people to complete game files took quite a bit of waiting and it took quite a few months to complete.

An overview of this contest can be found in the first issue of the OHR Online Magazine [[HamsterSpeak]] [http://superwalrusland.com/ohr/issue1/ here]
*[[User:Rurouni Catholic]]
*[[User:Calehay]]

===Changes to the game===

Learning from his mistake of passing entire bulky .RPGs from one person to another, the TwinHamster decided that it would be best for each of the entrants to first "write" their own chapters of the story for the game and to pass those along instead.

Through this new method, it is expected that all of the chapters are to be released at the same time. (Estimated Date: July 14th)
===A Trail of Game Designs===

=====Exposing the Unknown=====
This was TwinHamster's first ''released'' game.
It featured the character Photographer ''Den'' who is innocently taking pictures of pig-men and rock-monsters when a mess of events happens (almost simultaneously!) and smacks him into the past.
The game included fantasy worlds, sword-battles, and time travelling that most newbie games contain.
Unfortunately, being a newbie game, none of these ideas were fully executed.
The game also made heavy use of ripping the graphical starter set from the RPGMaker2k game engine.

Unhappy with the game's low popularity, TwinHamster decided to scrap this game to work on a more developed game.
However, due to Moogle1's [http://www.slimesalad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=162 '''Newbie Remake Contest'''], this project will be restarted to make this the acceptable game that it was meant to be.
It is said to include Zombie conspiracies, Time-Travelling, Mass Paranoia and other goodies.

=====DarkMoon=====
Needing an output for the unnecessary ideas created during the making of ETU, the TwinHamster decided to create this game.
It featured the boy Zhou and his village companions as they ventured inside of a locked sanctuary and ultimately being banished from the village until they

successfully saved the world.
This pretty much contained all of the fantasy elements that ETU's Sci-Fi universe just couldn't contain.
The Castle Paradox community accepted this game much more than its predecessor.

Still not reaching the level of good game design that he wanted to reach, TwinHamster hastily destroyed the old version of DarkMoon and created a revamped

second version.
This new version contained a completely different art style and altered the storyline for the sake of making sense.
However, the TwinHamster soon got tired of the DarkMoon series and left it at as an even shorter demo than its earlier version.

=====Fyre Emblem=====
After playing the NES Fire Emblem Gaiden game, the TwinHamster was inspired by the fact that the game featured great pixel art even with its restricted palette.
The battle-engine of Fire Emblem also looked very promising and easy to emulate. But more than anything, it seemed easy to emulate.

Due to his limited PlotScripting experience, the TwinHamster could only copy a small fraction of Fire Emblems battle engine, mainly the part about restricting the player from doing anything in battle.

When released, the game only allowed one controllable hero that would obtain spells, sword-techniques, and ally-summons with limited old-school key-combination skill styles that would result in better results of skills in battles.

However, due to the minimal explaining provided, the game was looked down upon because it didn't look much like Fire Emblem at all.
The Key-Combos were also hard to perform D:>

=====Game Design Insanity=====
During this period of time, the TwinHamster looked back into his portfolio and realized that it wasn't very good at making games.
It is rumored that the TwinHamster went mildly insane and began to spew out a mess of incomprehensible games.

After this short period, the TwinHamster's sanity returned to him (For the most part) and he realized that many of the created games were nearly unplayable.
Only two of which were mildly playable. These included Paul Game, a smashing game about tennis, and THE LEGEND OF ZOLGA: VINK'S ADVENTURE, a parody of The Legend of Zelda Series based on Food stuffs.

After this period, the TwinHamster took a break from the community and attempted to hone his game-design skills.
After a couple months of game-design solitude, he returned with some talk about Detelamane.

=====Dire OHRea=====
JSH357 hosted his own Terrible Games Contest, see?
And then the TwinHamster entered it, see?

This project was completely constructed on the TwinHamster's lunch breaks at his internship and is one of his [b]finished games[/b].
It was supposed to contain awesome mini-games, battles, and Manliness but could only pull this off to a limited degree.
None of the mini-games were designed as the TwinHamster envisioned them, the hero was given a one-hit KO technique for most of the game, and the TwinHamster could not even begin to compress Pure Manliness into a game.

=====There Once Were Vampires=====
After the completion of Dire OHRea, the TwinHamster saw another contest: Chenzi's GMTDDSESAT (Or something resembling that acronym)

This was pretty much a Vampire game that tried to emulate some of Castlevania's components.
It tried to have a trainable weapon-system, a familiars system, as well as a Job-changing system but the game was not finished in the way that any of these
would actually work. (A cheap ending was quickly smashed together as the contest's deadline approached).

=====2006 Collaboration Game=====
The TwinHamster thought to himself "What if a bunch of people in the community worked on a single game? This would be good."
Then he thought "What if a bunch of people in the community worked on individual components of a game? This would be insane and possibly good."

With the latter idea, the TwinHamster began the 2006 Collaboration Game.
The idea was that each person would recieve a single chapter to understand the game somewhat, make his own chapter, and send that to the next person.

In total, there were 7 contributors (And therefore 7 chapters).

More of this can be read on Surlaw's Game Design Magazine: [http://www.superwalrusland.com/ohr/issue1/ HamsterSpeak]

=====Detelamane: Legacy of Scars=====
After enough talk about the game, the TwinHamster replaced its shoddy place-holder and submitted a demo.
This briefly introduced the situation of the characters as well as the village.
It also ended with a mildly annoying cliff-hanger.

The TwinHamster should be pursuing the completion of this game as his top priority; however, with the creation of the previously mentioned "Remake your

Newbie Game" contest, he has decided to suspend Detelamane's development in order to fix up his first released game.

=====[[Collaboration Game Contest]]=====

The 2008 Collaboration game has kicked off and, so far, Eight of the community's members are working together to make an epic of a game.

It tried to have a trainable weapon-system, a familiars system, as well as a Job-changing system but the game was not finished in the way that any of these
would actually work. (A cheap ending was quickly smashed together as the contest's deadline approached).

=====2006 Collaboration Game=====

=====Detelamane: Legacy of Scars=====

=====2008 Collaboration Game=====

The 2008 Collaboration game has kicked off and, so far, Eight of the community's members are working together to make an epic of a game.

Thanks :)

'''Bob''': Sure! I reccomend installing it on a Linux box. Trying to do it on a Windows box is possible, but a huge pain.
# Follow the instructions at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Installation
# If you have problems, mail me, or ask questions here, but I will answer your questions (if I can) by editing and improving http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Installation
'''Grady''': Okay, Hmm.. the reccomended ram is a bit high, i only have 128 MB, and alot of that is used by Windows XP :P Oh well i'll give it a shot anyway, dosen't hurt to try, thing is i have to find a decent server that gives free MySQL and PHP and whatever the hell else it needs :P
'''Bob''': Spam filtering still works just fine in Mediawiki 1.5 ... I just forgot that logged-in users are allowed to say "viagra" without getting filtered.

'''Mike''': Surely there's a way to get an IP address attached to a username. But, I looked, and couldn't find anything. Or, is that just a 'Bureaucrat' feature?

'''Bob''': I would have to check the server logs to get that spammer's IP. Bereaucrat just means you can grant Sysop to other users.

[[User:James Paige|James Paige]] Hey! I really object to the editorial slant of this article! And I especially don't like that bit about encouraging people to bug me about finishing wandering hamster. I have a big enough backlog of e-mail already!

[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]] Oh, what? Were you just sitting there hitting "reload" on the [[Special:Recentchanges|recent changes]] page, or what? I thought you were busy!?

[[User:James Paige|James Paige]] Oh, much better. Now you make me sound both lazy '''and''' crass. Seriously, buying me books is not a good way to get me to work on WH. it is a good way to get me to spend hours and hours of my free time reading books, and specificly not working on Wandering Hamster. And it is my lunch break right now. I am aloud to spend my lunch break obsessively reloading and web page I please, aren't I?

'''The Geek''': I could be really cheeky here and say "what lunch break, oh you mean the one that
+never ends?", but I won't :)

[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]] The Geek, when you posted that, it was blocked by the spam filter <strike>because James hates you</strike> because you were not logged in, and this page contains the word "viagra". (unfortunately, the spam filter currently uses the full-text of the page, not just the changed parts)

[[User:Pkmnfrk|Mike C.]] You know you have problems when you have fake arguments with yourself in public places...

[[User:James Paige|James Paige]] I am perfectly sane. Bob is the one with problems.

[[User:The Geek|The Geek]]: There, I am a user now. I didn't realize you didn't need to give an
+e-mail address. Thanks for restoring the post. And I agree with Mike :)

[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]] Actually, the above post was blocked too, because I had not yet added you to the [[not evil]] list. ''Now'' you can post without fear of accadentalluy triggering the filter. I really need to fix the filter so it only filters changes. Any page where someone has ever spoken a blocked word like the v-word is practically locked down. :(

[[User:The Geek|The Geek]]: Hey, it works most of the time! And thanks again for restoring the post.

== Wiki issue ==

[[User:FyreWulff|FyreWulff]] Can you fix the Mediawiki namespace so that we can actually make use of the [[Special:Wantedpages]] ?

[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]]: I'm not sure what I need to do to fix it, but I can certainly try.... I guess I just need to create all those missing pages...?

== Slanderous lies! ==

[[User:Nintendork|Nintendork]]: Hey, in your user page, it says "I take care of this wiki for my good friend James Paige, who is too busy sculpting naked women to spend any time maintaining his own silly wiki," but I thought James was dead! Are you saying my thought that he was dead for over six years was all a ''lie''?

[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]]: He died six years ago, but has spent the last 5 years as a zombie. ''(Handy cooking tip: Strawberry rice-krispy & marshmallow squares make an excellent murder-free brain substitute)''

[[User:Pkmnfrk|Mike C.]] Hmm, strawberry, eh? I was trying to use peanut butter in my own necromancy project... thanks for the tip!

== OHRRPGCE Gamelist ==

[[User:The Geek|The Geek]]: Totally off-topic here, but how did you do the multiple-page bit of the OHRRPGCE gamelist? Did you use a database for it and then call for entries ''x'' to ''x'' or what?

[[User:Inferior Minion|Inferior Minion]]: It looks like that's exactly what he did. The gamelist page is set to display 8 games and it uses the offset passed through the URL to determine where to start.

[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]]: My gamelist is written in php, but that particular bit of work is done in my SQL SELECT statement, using a LIMIT clause.

$query=sprintf('select * from linklist order by %s %s limit %s,%s',$sort,$sortdir,$offset,$limit);

I have imported the gamelist source code to subversion under svn://gilgamesh.hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/web/ohrrpgce-static/

did you get shooted!?
[User:James Paige|James Paige]]: Bob is still in the hospital. He is recovering well from his gunshot wound, but he is still in a coma. He has not spoken, nor given any indication of waking up since the "incident". When somebody has [http://castleparadox.com/ohr/viewtopic.php?t=5253 figured out who did it] I will take the RPG file on a laptop to him and play it in his hospital room, in the hopes that it will wake him up.

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 13:02, 26 December 2007 (PST) New topic Bob. Why was the wiki down for the last three days? I couldn't update anything!

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 10:19, 31 December 2007 (PST) Uh bob, I can't look at the info boxes on game pages. Why?
== Castle Paradox==

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 08:07, 22 December 2007 (PST) Do you know any reason why Castle Paradox is unavailable? I tried it on 2 computers but it still doesn't work for 2 days.

--[[User:The Mad Cacti|The Mad Cacti]] 18:12, 22 December 2007 (PST) CP worked for me yesterday, and it works right now too. But it's no use asking James about it, he doesn't run it, [[User:Inferior Minion]] does. See [[Why does Castle Paradox's server go down so often?]]

==Calehay==
--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 18:54, 1 January 2008 (PST) Bob, an annoying person called Calehay is accusing me and being sarcastic about my game, when I am sure it is very nice and it has no mistakes, but bugs in it! He says they aren't bugs! Please help me!

[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]]: Help you with what? If you and Calehay have an disagreement about something, that is between you and him. It isn't my place to resolve this sort of dispute. I would suggest talking it over with him via e-mail or [[forums]] or [[IRC]]. The wiki isn't really a chat board.

--[[User:TwinHamster|TwinHamster]] 16:04, 4 January 2008 (PST) It might be best for you two to carry on whatever dispute you're having through Castle Paradox's private messaging system, so that it's none of this wiki's business.
It might also be a good idea to take advantage of Castle Paradox's journal system and talk about your game there so that you won't have to add fifty updates to your game's wiki page every day; instead, you could post your daily edits on said journal and then update your game's wiki page after big updates are made.
By doing so, you can single-handedly reduce the clutter of the recent changes page, allowing the rest of us wiki-editing folk (Well, me at the least) to easily spot the other changes that have been made.
Thank you.
--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 11:47, 25 November 2007 (PST) Well.....I don't have a bugzilla file since I don't have an e-mail, and when I tried somebody else's e-mail address in my family, they deleted the mail message, so I don't know my password.

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 12:06, 25 November 2007 (PST) I just need to tell you that the nightly build version didn't get the same bug.

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] Also, I get a bug in my game every time I try to ride my boat from the side.

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 16:59, 25 November 2007 (PST) I got rid of the bug! It just disappeared.I think I have to report it to bugzilla anyway.

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 14:42, 9 December 2007 (PST) Can someone tell me how to post a game on to this site?!?!?!?!

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 18:36, 10 December 2007 (PST) Yup, my game is here! This is the URL:http://gilgamesh.hamsterrepublic.com/wiki/ohrrpgce/index.php/Game:Dummy_the_Happy_Face

--[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]] 10:07, 12 December 2007 (PST) When you are editing wiki pages, always remember to use the "Show preview" button before you "Save changes". by using the preview, you can catch mistakes early, and avoid cluttering the [[Special:Recentchanges|Recent Changes]] list with many small edits

--[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]] 16:04, 12 December 2007 (PST) You need to make your enemy pages as sub-pages of your game page. Instead of <nowiki>[[Knight Guy]]</nowiki> you should write <nowiki>[[Game:Dummy the Happy Face/enemies/Knight Guy|Knight Guy]]</nowiki> or just <nowiki>[[/Knight Guy|Knight Guy]]</nowiki> if you are editing your [[Game:Dummy the Happy Face/enemies|enemies list]]

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 16:49, 12 December 2007 (PST) Good point.

--[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]] 23:06, 19 December 2007 (PST) Very strange about the main page. It is protected so that only admins should be able to edit it. Try to edit it and make a small change, and see what happens when you try to save it.

--(cont. from Dummy: The Happy Face Page) If you didn't want your RPG file tampered with, I highly suggest you rethink your password. I have defeated the boss, but the king has not registered this. May I know the version I'm supposed to play this with? I believe I have found what has happened. Not all of the tags are turning on properly. I'm not sure how I came to this situation, but I suggest making sure that something isn't skippable, or something like that where the player can end up with necessary tags turned off.--Calehay

--[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]] 07:54, 21 December 2007 (PST) Oh, I figured out why you can edit the main page. Apparently there are two levels of protection. one level blocks everyone but admins. The other level blocks only anonymous users.

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 13:53, 21 December 2007 (PST) Calehay, this game is for at least Ubersetzung, as I made it and ended it with Voxhumana

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 17:19, 21 December 2007 (PST) Calehay, do you mean you know my password, or just a good hacker? I don't want you telling my password online.

--I found your password, considering that you know what it is, it's not like it's particularly hidden. I will not give out what it is, but most people will figure this out themselves.

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 07:52, 22 December 2007 (PST) About the tags, if it is a bug, please file it. When I played my game, nothing strange happened.

--[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]] 15:17, 26 December 2007 (PST) The wiki was down for a few days because of a bad software update. I didn't notice it until this morning, because I was busy with Christmas.

--[[User:The Mad Cacti|The Mad Cacti]] 21:48, 26 December 2007 (PST) Ah ha, next time I complain loudly on the mailing list!

--Oh, I must apologize. I didn't know that you actually expected me to read the text in your game. You tags concerning which text box to turn on with the king are completely fudged. The king asks you to get the emerald before saying that you've gotten it. Seriously, playtest your game. I also suggest at least perusing the HOWTO to learn how to make vehicles work properly. -- Calehay

--[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] 15:20, 30 December 2007 (PST)　Oh geez Calehay, I have playtested my game nearly to the end so I know all that area and the vehicle stuff has nothing wrong, as I did what the [[HOWTO]] said exactly. How far are you anyway? And have you had the boat bug yet? That will screw it up. Please refer to [[file a bug]] for information about bugzilla. Please file a bug with description if you are willing to.

--[[User:TwinHamster|TwinHamster]] 19:18, 30 December 2007 (PST) It's very beneficial to listen to criticism. Although it may be coming off a bit rough, you should try to learn from as much of it as possible.
If one player has experienced a problem with your game, it is very likely that other people will also face problems with your game.
Also, the Bugzilla is more oriented towards bugs within the OHRRPGCE and less towards the errors individual games.

==TwinHamster==

===A Trail of Game Designs===

=====Exposing the Unknown=====
This was TwinHamster's first [i]released[/i] game.
It featured the character Photographer [i]Den[/i] who is innocently taking pictures of pig-men and rock-monsters when a mess of events happens (almost

simultaneously!) and smacks him into the past.
The game included fantasy worlds, sword-battles, and time traveling that most newbie games contain.
Unfortunately, being a newbie game, none of these ideas were fully executed.
The game also made heavy use of ripping the graphical starter set from the RPGMaker2k game engine.

Unhappy with the game's low popularity, TwinHamster decided to scrap this game to work on a more developed game.
However, due to Moogle1's [[http://www.slimesalad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=162|[n]Newbie Remake Contest[/b]]], this project will be restarted to make this

the acceptable game that it was meant to be.
It is said to include Zombie conspiracies, Time-Traveling, Mass Paranoia and other goodies.

=====DarkMoon=====
Needing an output for the unecessary ideas created during the making of ETU, the TwinHamster decided to create this game.

=====Fyre Emblem=====
After playing the NES Fire Emblem Gaiden game, the TwinHamster was inspired by the fact that the game featured great pixel art even with its restricted

palette.
The battle-engine of Fire Emblem also looked very promising and easy to emulate. But more than anything, it seemed easy to emulate.

Due to his limited PlotScripting experience, the TwinHamster could only copy a small fraction of Fire Emblems battle engine, mainly the part about
restricting the player from doing anything in battle.

When released, the game only allowed one controllable hero that would obtain spells, sword-techniques, and ally-summons with limited old-school
key-combination skill styles that would result in better results of skills in battles.

However, due to the minimal explaining provided, the game was looked down upon because it didn't look much like Fire Emblem at all.
The Key-Combos were also hard to perform D:>

=====Game Design Insanity=====
During this period of time, the TwinHamster looked back into his portfolio and realized that it wasn't very good at making games.
It is rumored that the TwinHamster went mildly insane and began to spew out a mess of incomprehensible games.

After this short period, the TwinHamster's sanity returned to him (For the most part) and he realized that many of the created games were
nearly unplayable.
Only two of which were mildly playable. These included Paul Game, a smashing game about tennis, and THE LEGEND OF ZOLGA: VINK'S ADVENTURE, a parody of The
Legend of Zelda Series based on Food stuffs.

After this period, the TwinHamster took a break from the community and attempted to hone his game-design skills.
After a couple months of game-design solitude, he returned with some talke about Detelamane.

=====Dire OHRea=====
JSH357 hosted his own Terrible Games Contest, see?
And then the TwinHamster entered it, see?

This project was completely constructed on the TwinHamster's lunch breaks at his internship and is one of his [b]finished games[/b].
It was supposed to

contain awesome mini-games, battles, and Manliness but could only pull this off to a limited degree.
None of the mini-games were designed as the TwinHamster envisioned them, the hero was given a one-hit KO technique for most of the game, and the TwinHamster
could not even begin to compress Pure Manliness into a game.

=====There Once Were Vampires=====

=====2006 Collaboration Game=====

More of this can be read on Surlaw's Game Design Magazine: [[http://www.superwalrusland.com/ohr/issue1/|HamsterSpeak]]

=====Detelamane: Legacy of Scars=====

=Dummy the Happy Face=
This is a game made by [[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]]. He has joined this site in november. This game was originally for a school project, but since it is done, he decided to put it in public! What a nice guy!! The game has had many times that it has been asked for a file transfer from[[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]]'s USB stick to the other people. This game is a huge hit in [[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]]'s class!

=Plot=
A stick man has opened the secret seal in a cave. Monsters pour out, and the world becomes in jeopardy. There are enemies all around the world. Who can stop all this trouble? Dummy of course!!! Follow Dummy and his adventures as he goes all around the world!!!! [[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] has made one of the weirdest games on this wiki!

=Claims=
This game has very bad graphics. Yes they are bad, but that is because of [[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]]'s very bad artistic ability. Another claim is that the enemies tend to be too strong, and debugging keys are unavailable. [[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] has also password-protected this game, so you cannot edit it either. One more thing. [[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] has not defeated the last boss yet due to the game being long, so it might be too strong. If you have any problems, please put it on [[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]]'s talk page. [[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] does want not any claims on bugs.

=Walkthrough=
This game has not yet been cleared, so the walkthrough will probably take a while to get finished. Maybe it won't........... [[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]] has started the walkthrough, so refer to that page please.

=Cheat=
Even though the bosses are very strong in this game, there is a way to avoid one of them. If you use a special item, you can avoid a specific boss.

=Staff=
The maker of this game is [[User:Dorumagesu|Dorumagesu]]. The music is either MIDI or BAM, so thanks to both.

__NOTOC__
Any of these stats can be renamed for your game.

==HP==
Health Points. You lose these when you get hit by enemies in battle. When you run out, you die.

==MP==
Magic Points. Consumed when you cast a spell. When you run out, you cannot cast any more spells.

==Atk==
Attack power. Normally determines the damage you do when you hit the enemy. (although many other factors affect battle damage)

==Aim==
Accuracy. Affects whether or not you miss your target.

==Def==
Defence. Reduces the amount of physical (non-magical) damage done to you. Subtracted from the enemy's '''Atk''' stat.

==Dog==
Dodge. Affects whether or not you dodge the enemy's attack.

==Mag==
Magic power. Normally determines the damage your spells do.

==Wil==
Will Power. Reduces magical damage. Subtracted from the enemy's '''Mag''' stat.

==Spd==
Speed. How fast you get your turn. This should usually be within the range of 10-30. A higher number leads to quicker turns.

==Ctr==
Counter. Does nothing. This was originally intended for counterattacks, but was never implemented as such. The attack editor allows you to use it as an alternative to '''Atk''' and '''Mag'''

==MP~==
MP Modifier. A percentage by which your MP consumption is reduced. A high MP~ lets you cast more spells. Eg. if this stat is set to 50, spells will cost half as much MP.

==Hits==
Extra Hits. Causes attacks to be duplicated. For example, a value of 2 means that the hero will hit 3 times everytime they do an attack. Use this sparingly-- nothing is more annoying that a game where every single hero and every single enemy does 20 hits with each attack.

You know, I for one could forgive James if he were to, say, forget to implement a golfing mini-game.
How about just skipping that and resuming the production of the last 2/3 of the game?

As interesting as golfing in the CreatorEngine sounds, it seems like something that I would never be able to master.

'''Onward to Kelp Reef!'''

== Regarding the Sound Effects… ==

[[User:Kizul Emeraldfire|Kizul]]: Should they be realistic-y sounding, or could I use 8-bit NES-style bloop-bloop sound effects? :D (I'm good at making the 8-bit ones. :] )

[[User:Bob the Hamster|Bob the Hamster]]: Hmm. Good question. I guess I would have to hear some to know if that is what I really want. But even if I don't use 8-bit-y sounds in W.H, I'm sure ''somebody'' will want them. Why don't you submit some for the [[Free Sound Effects]] page?

[[image:fullauto3.jpg]]

When you try this out, you'll find that this attack will be used like a multi-hit attack and will chain over and over again without giving the poor foe to catch a breath to hit you back. This makes for a bad battle, to fix this, you've got to alter the attack's delay.

[[image:fullauto4.jpg]]

Select 'Damage Settings' and you'll see the submenu for it.
Go down to 'Delay before attack'. The number that you set will be counted in ticks (Roughly 16 ticks in one second). Set this to however long you want the hero to wait before attacking again. I consider 150 ticks to be long enough, but you may think differently. It all depends on the pace of your battle.

[[image:fullauto5.jpg]]

And that's really all there is.

== "Hold on a second, Mister!" ==

"All you did was show me how to do a multi-hit attack the stupid way!"

Well, I suppose I did. You probably want to make your automatic attack a little more sparkly, don't you?

All right then. Let's chain ''two'' attacks together:

attack 1)Power-Up
attack 2)Slice

Power-up will raise the hero's strength (derr) and slice will hit the enemy.

So, we'll create a new attack: Power up.

[[Image:fullauto6.jpg]]

First things first, the target should be the hero (self), so you should be able to set that.
Secondly, go to the 'damage settings' submenu and look below:

[[Image:fullautoi7.jpg]]

From what I did:

Damage Math: The damage has been set so that the hero's strength will increase by 7% each time this skill is used.

Base ATK stat: This is actually useless with the damage math in place.

Target stat: Alter's the hero's strength instead of his health.

Extra Damage%: sets the change in the hero's strength.

Now, the delay should be zero, so that the slice attack will instantaneous follow after power-up. The sequence should be:
'''Slice, wait, Power-up, Slice, wait, etc.'''

The most important part of the Power-up skill is to change the target. Unlike Slice, you're targetting the hero to increase his strength.

[[Image:fullauto8.jpg]]

Select the 'Target Settings'

[[Image:fullauto9.jpg]]

Now change enemy to hero (self). This will strengthen the hero, and not the enemy.

== TwinHamster's final alternative ==

The last thing I can think of would be to create an enemy and pretend it's a hero.
Set the enemy graphic so that it faces the other enemies (left), and make all of the enemy-hero attacks target its allies.

== Stay put, Hamster! ==

What!? You want to set up an auto-battle function, as seen in various commercial RPG's, in which your heroe's will all choose random attacks to use on their own? Well, you'll have to script it out yourself!
