How do I use a USB gamepad or joystick with the OHRRPGCE?

Due to an oversight in porting the OHRRPGCE to windows, joystick support was accidentally left out. However, as of the May 7, 2006 nightly, joystick support has been restored. It supports all types of joysticks, as long as they are configured in the Windows Gaming Options or Joystick Options control panel.
The DOS version, however, only supports joystick port joysticks. However, if you use a program like VDMSound, which can fake joystick support, you may be able to use a USB joystick with it.
