Is there a law that I have to have a read me?

You are not legally required to include a readme file with your game, but it is a good idea to do so. A readme file is a good place to let people know who you are and why you made your game.

If you include a copy of game.exe or custom.exe with your game, then you are legally required to also include a copy of LICENSE-binary.txt
