Jocoserious is the codename of the current stable release of the OHRRPGCE.

It means joking... but you know, kinda serious too.

It was initially released February 20 2025.

The release name was chosen by a complex and pointless game of randomly rolling six sided dice where the numbers 1,2,3 represented James's favorite codename options, and the numbers 4,5,6 represented teeemcee's favorites. However, only Rue remembered to actually roll any dice, and the rest of us forgot about the whole thing for like more than 2 years.

The honorary secret alternate codename is jumulent, which is not a word and was never suggested. You can get the honorary secret alternate codename to display in the engine by downloading the source code, editing it, and recompiling it yourself.

The +1 release added some important fixes, and unusually for a +1 release also some useful features, mainly related to sprite frames, and threw in some others too. To round out jocoserious and make it a little bit more stable.

The +2 release added still more bugfixes and features related to frames, including for importing spritesets with non-default frame counts, a crash in NPC list when an NPC had fewer than 4 frames, and also added onionskins in the sprite editor.
