OHRVER.TXT

OHRVER.TXT is a plain-text file that currently resides at http://www.rpgcreations.com/ohr/OHRVER.TXT . It is used to check if the current version of CUSTOM (and possibly GAME) is the latest, most up-to-date stable version. This is determined by downloading the file. If the internal version is < the downloaded number, it is out of date. If it is = to the number, it is up to date, and if it is > than the number, nothing happens.

All that resides in the file is two numbers. The first number is the version number. The second number is a special number that will make the OHRRPGCE do special things. The numbers are seperated by a comma, and the end of the file is a comma, so that special versions of the engine can extend the file without breaking other versions.

Example file at version 75 with no special commands:

1	This site will be going down shortly, so CUSTOM.EXE needs to grab a new location (possible from NEWLOC.TXT?)
2	Display a message stating that this branch of the OHRRPGCE is no longer supported
3	Display a message saying that this branch of the OHRRPGCE has a critical flaw. Use should be suspended until a new version is made available.
