An idea is to have a slot number for targeting restrictions, both in this lump and in heroform.reld, with duplicates allowed; the bits in DT6 for targeting restrictions by slots would then use these numbers (which can be 0 to 11 instead of 0 to 7). Oh, that is a pretty cool idea! I don't think I would re-purpose the slot restrictions for this, rather I would add a new "targeting group" that enemy slots could optionally be a member of. It would be easier as a new feature than an evolution of the slots feature-- but I do love the idea of "duplicates allowed" for this type of restriction.
