Talk:Importing Graphics
When I import graphics, it scrambles the image, and it looks nothing like the picture I imported. It isn't a palette problem, as I have tried the overwrite palette option. Anything I could be doing wrong?
Bob the Hamster (talk): Can you post an example BMP file? I would like to try importing it myself and see if I can reproduce the problem.
The Mad Cacti (talk): I know of a bug in 4-bit (16 colour) BMP import where the image is scrambled if the width of the image is odd. Is that the problem? There were also a number of other BMP import bugs which could possibly be the problem. I've fixed the bugs but the bugfixes aren't available in nightly builds yet.
Alurith (talk):Can someone add the screen size for importing backgrounds, on here? Specifically the pixels width and height.
TMC (talk) 21:27, 21 July 2022 (PDT): Hi. Actually, backdrops can be any size (as can all of the other sprite types, except box borders!) Often you will want to use a backdrop the same size as the screen... which can also be any size, though it defaults to 320x200. Also, battle backdrops are currently limited to 320x200, which will change in the next release. This articles is very badly out of date... and it does not cover importing backdrops anyway. That's strangely at Battles#Importing_Fullscreen_Battle_Backdrops
