Bob: This is interesting. Doess either SDL_Mixer or Allegro already provide a decent way to hook into MIDI SysEx events? Or will supporting this require patching one of those libraries?

Mike: Allegro has such capabilities as to make this almost too easy to support. When I'm finished writing my playmidi program, I'll release the source to show you how it works. It's pretty cool so far.
