Template talk:Plot
USAGE: {{plot|linkname|Display Name}}
EXAMPLE: {{plot|waitfornpc|wait for NPC}}
The Mad Cacti:This template is broken! The first argument is completely ignored if the second is given, but I can't fix it now, because all the plot: pages use the long names instead of the shortnames used in plot tags all over.
The Mad Cacti (talk) 19:10, 29 May 2012 (PDT): Although I've fixed the template, links into plotdict.xml still don't work correctly in firefox. I think this might be a firefox bug: it doesn't move down to the #about-cmdname tag after loading the page. Hitting ENTER in the address bar after the page has loaded causes it to work. So maybe it would be best to convert the dictionary to HTML and upload that every night, for wiki links.
TMC (talk) 13:44, 21 December 2016 (PST): This template was broken again, apparently by a mediawiki update, because putting a - in front of a brace (e.g. -{{{1}}}) now seems to be interpreted as something else, although I haven't been able to find it documented anywhere. I fixed it by creating template:-; these kinds of templates which expand to themselves are useful in general to escape things.
