Does OHR work with Windows Vista?
Basic testing with Vista shows promise; there were no errors in running a script-heavy game like Trailblazers in GAME. This includes sound, movement, and windowing, and was tested on hasta+.
Custom also worked fine for Wandering Hamster.
Of course, this testing was mostly prima facie. It will be up to hardcore Vista OHR Developers to point out specific bugs, if any arise.
[edit] Music Problems
Some Vista users have reported crashes while playing MIDI music. Not all vista users seem to be affected, so if you have experienced a crash, we would like to hear from you.
You can also try this version with an alternate music backend which has been reported to work around the problem.
[edit] Administrator Privileges?
One user reported the error message "map00 tilemap missing" when opening an existing game or creating a new game when running custom without administrator privileges. If you have problems with running the OHRRPGCE on Vista as a regular unprivileged user, please report the errors you see to us.
