Game Talk:Sword of Jade
Bob the Hamster: Notice that at about 4 hours after TMC's last post about "Jadestone", he committed a Jade-specific fix to subversion. Does this mean that Jadestone is now (at least partially) Unpetrified?
The Mad Cacti: That will require bug 656 to be fixed. Most of jadestone was actually a fun afternoon project to make the scripts decompile proof. Since it was just for fun, I wrote ANTIHSDC or whatever in QBasic on a rusty 486 in the sleep out! But that shouldn't have introduced compatibility problems. However, I'm worried that I've heard of several other bugs appearing in SoJ when played on too-new versions.
The Mad Cacti: James, why did you make that change? 'Jadestone' is not fixed in the nightlies; see the above comment. However, not all releases of SoJ had Jadestone applied, the SVN/community editions wouldn't, but the original releases are still problematic.
Bob the Hamster: You are right. I was mistaken. I was thinking of the playability-in-nightylies aspect, and didn't give proper consideration to the editability aspect. Aslo, I did not realize that Jadestone was not present in the community release (which is all I have tested with lately)
