Talk:Community Links
Bob the Hamster I think the live sites should be separated from the archived sites
The Mad Cacti: I myself was wondering why Reasonably Septaweekly was the first link. Sounds like a good idea.
The Mad Cacti: The reason I had a link to a OHR Weekly wiki page was because of the double link complication, and I figured I could also supply a short history and a link to the OHR Weekly forum. On the other hand, I didn't like the idea of starting individual articles on external sites myself.
Bob the Hamster In the case of a no-longer-active archived community site, I think a separate wiki page with an explanation would be useful and appropriate. An active community like CP doesn't need its own article, but something like OHR Weekly could really use some historical context.
JSH:Should the Rise of Knights site be on this page or moved to its own article?
James Paige: Because it focuses on a single game, it would probably be better to put it at Game:Rise of Knights
I think that you should add a NNTP for OHRRPGCE. (I wrote a NNTP software, but, you can use a different software if you prefer to use a different NNTP software.) --24.207.15.213 21:19, 9 August 2019 (PDT)
TMC (talk): But a newsgroup would only be useful if it was used for conversations by multiple people. We already have a mailinglist, doesn't that accomplish the same thing? (I'm not familiar with the differences.) And lately it hardly gets used. It might be nice to have a newsfeed that listed all activity everywhere: game uploads or updates to any website, reviews, mailinglist, new threads on SS or other websites, svn commits...
- OK, maybe it will be nice to have a newsfeed like that. A mailing list can accomplish the same thing as a news group, although I think NNTP is better than a mailing list for these kind of discussions (although it is possible to make it to provide the same data on both interfaces). --24.207.15.213 19:12, 15 August 2019 (PDT)
