NPC

NPC stands for Non Playable Character. The meaning of NPC is slightly different in different kinds of RPGs, but for the purposes of the OHRRPGCE an NPC is a character, other than your heroes, who appears on a map. NPC's can be used for a variety of purposes:

• Townspeople you can talk to
• Non-random enemies that you talk to to fight
• Treasure boxes
• Moving scenery
• A hero who has not yet joined your party
• Plotscript triggers
