On March 16, 2011, Spoonweaver announced that the fangame contest would be held once more.

Gizmog wrote an article "reviewing" the contest itself.

How did it start this time?[edit]

The first Fangame contest was originally thought up by Shizuma and hosted by Spoonweaver. Talk of a repeat began when the Mario thread on Slime Salad was revived by Mogri. The thread was about a Mario fangame by shakeyair from the previous fangame contest. It was never completed, but its ideas were gold, from the story (written by Pepsi Ranger) to the graphics. It had to be finished, but for that to happen, perhaps another fangame contest was needed. Spoonweaver decided that he was going to host this thing.

So what is it?[edit]

"In this contest, developers will compete to see who can create the best fangame with the OHR game creation engine. The subject of the game's fandom is each developer's own choice so long as it's a subject created by someone other than themselves. This could be anything from a TV show like Seinfeld to a band like Smashing Pumpkins and everything in between and/or not in between." -Spoonweaver

It's simple. Make a game based on something/anything.

Prizes[edit]

Like any good contest, prizes must be awarded.

First place: $20 and fanart of your game

Second place: $5

Third place: All of Spoonweaver's slimebucks (Slimesalad currency)
