Is James British?

People often ask me (James) if I am British. I am not. I am a Californian. Although I spent a month in Britain once, and ate the food there, I am pretty sure that does not qualify me for citizenship.

My theory on why I am so often mistaken for being British, is:

1. I, like tot'ly don't ev'n talk like a Californian 'r somethin' ... DUDE*
2. I type with a slight British accent, probably as a result of the large amount of British fiction I read (Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett)

• Note: nobody in california still says "dude". that is so 1991 (oh, and sooo 2001 too, like .. dude)
