Release tracking bug

This article (or part thereof) is obsolete. It may have made sense in the past, but it does not make sense now. It is kept here only for historic curiosity and/or posterity.

The Developers used to use a bugzilla bug for tracking stable releases, until it became clear that just discussing stable releases on the mailing list and IRC was easier. (Before that, they used a page on the wiki, Release Check List.)

If the size of our developer team ever grows substantially in the future, we might start using tracking bugs again.
