Bob: hmmm... It works fine for me right now. Are you sure you have the new file and not an old copy in your web browser's cache? Which web browser are you using?

Mike: Same here. It works fine. Try hitting Ctrl-F5 to force the browser to reload it. (I will destroy any who attempt to defile my dictionary!)

Redirect[edit]

Bob the Hamster: What if this page was changed to a #REDIRECT to Plot:Index, and each plot:command page contained an external link to http://HamsterRepublic.com/ohrrpgce/docs/plotdict.xml in the =See Also= section?

Mike C.: I assume that the external link would be so as to get the latest version of the command. I don't know if that's really necessary, but I have no serious objections (other than flooding Recent Changes with hundreds of imports to update all the entries).

However, I also want to think about a way to track changes in the dictionary, so that updating changed entries is easier... I'm thinking about adding a "last changed" field for each command, and then being able to run the stylesheet with an arbitrary date to generate a "diff"...

Oh. I haven't comitted the stylesheet yet, have I? I'll do that now. I'd like to know if it'll even run with any processor other than Saxon 8.8. I know right off the bat that IE and Firefox can't display them in the browser, as they don't support XPath 2.0. Any processors that do should be able to run it, buuuut... you know how it is. Still, Saxon does, and that's my Official Processor.

*ramble*

Bob the Hamster: I think we can make a special account for plot dictionary uploads, and then I can designate that account as being a Bot so it will be hidden from the recent changes page.

Mike C.: Touché! Use Plotscripting Dictionary, as that is what the XML upload file uses.
