What is a mirror?

A mirror is a copy of a website. The purpose of a mirror is to be a backup in case the main website goes down, and also to divide traffic between more than one site, so that the main site does not get overloaded with too many visitors.

This site exists in three different places on the internet. (Stable) (Wiki) (Mirror) The "stable" copy of this site is actually also a mirror.
