This article only applies to the DOS/QuickBasic 16-bit version. It is not relevant for the current 32/64 bit Windows/Linux/Mac/etc versions
Yep. it's true-- For the first 7 years of its life, the OHRRPGCE was developed in QuickBasic 4.5, extended with an assembly-language library called Allmodex written by Brian Fisher.
If you are interested in learning Quickbasic, feel free to e-mail James, and he will talk you out of it. There are so many better languages you could learn :)
After the OHRRPGCE went open source in mid-2005, there was a concerted effort to port it to FreeBasic.
