Talk:Chapter 2 - Getting Started
Right now, the tables are in HTML format. Later, I'll go ahead and change them to MediaWiki format. I started out using HTML because I'm still trying to wrap my head around how MediaWiki tables work. Well, that, and they're really a pain edit.--BMR (talk) 10:04, 11 May 2013 (PDT)
TMC (talk): Cool. I like the little Windows/Mac/Linux tables. I not not familiar with mediawiki (or even HTML) table syntax myself. I looked into converting the HTML on the Installation on Windows page to mediawiki numbered lists, but it turns out that it's a bit of a pain to do so without breaking the numbering: you have to use HTML anyway, and place everything on one line! Like so:
- Like
so.Or use the paragraph tag.
- Alternatively,
- you can just put up with this annoying extra indentation.
Ooh, templates for the MacWindowsLinux thing, BMR likes. And for ProTips as well. I was wondering how to do that, I know it was possible, but had no idea how to do it. Thanks!--BMR (talk) 10:47, 21 May 2013 (PDT)
